Slashers That Know the Rules

A run of body-count films that know their own genre: requels, camp-slasher love letters, Ti West's X trilogy and outright parodies, all reworking the masked killer, the final girl and the cursed summer camp, so each one sharpens the jokes and scares in the next.

Mostly crowd-pleasing, popcorn-friendly modern horror that rewards genre fans most, with a few cult objects (Terrifier 2, You're Next, The Final Girls) and Ti West's more art-house trilogy mixed in; easy to watch but often very gory, so it's best as a Halloween marathon with friends who can handle blood.
