Sixteen films, all basically undeniable — this is a greatest-hits shelf where every pick is defensible in an argument at 2am, which is maybe the point? The range is genuinely broad: courtroom drama, anime, Korean cinema, epic fantasy, sci-fi, mob classics — so it's not narrow, it just skews toward the films everyone eventually lands on. Past Lives and Sinners feel like the most personal signals here; would that be fair? Like, beneath the consensus armour there's someone with actual taste trying to peek through.
