Monsters, Misfits and Their Makers
A run from Universal's and Hammer's gothic monsters through the films that grew out of them, best watched near each other for how the creature keeps turning out lonelier, stranger and more human than the people chasing it.
Mostly beloved, approachable classics, short and easy to start with; a couple of grisly werewolf films and an Eastern European fairy-tale oddity make up the cult end, so it works as a Halloween marathon or as a slow tour of horror's family tree.
