Horror That's In on the Joke

A run of horror comedies that know the rules — the slasher's final girl, the cabin in the woods, the zombie survival list, the deadly family tradition — and have a blast bending them, so watching them together turns each one's genre jokes into a running conversation.

Mostly crowd favourites and much-loved cult objects, easy and rowdy to watch with friends, and best around Halloween; the gore is real but it plays for laughs more than dread.
