The Camera Kept Rolling

A run of found-footage and fake-documentary horror. Every film rhymes on the same dread: someone points a camera at the dark, insists on filming, and leaves us the recording. It moves from the Maryland woods to Barcelona stairwells, Seoul asylums, Taiwanese curses and Thai shamans.

Blair Witch and Sinister are mainstream fare, and the run goes deep into cult objects from Japan, Korea, Thailand and Australia that horror fans pass along by word of mouth. These are mostly easy to put on, but several (Noroi, Incantation, The Medium, Man Bites Dog) get truly nasty, so watch them late and with the lights off only if you mean it.
