The House Remembers

A run of homes that hold onto what happened inside them, from the Victorian chill of Hill House and Bly to Kubrick's snowbound Overlook, Fulci's cellar, Obayashi's ravenous mansion and even a starship that came back haunted. They rhyme on families and outsiders moving in and the building slowly working on them.

Anchored by two canonical classics everyone should see; from there it moves into gory Italian and Japanese cult objects and gonzo eighties oddities, so it's easy to start but gets stranger and nastier as you go deeper.
