Did you know? Hu Bo studied under Béla Tarr, and after clashing with producers who wanted the nearly four-hour film cut down to around two hours, the full-length version survived; it went on to win Best Feature at the 2018 Golden Horse Awards, where his mother accepted the prize.

Named by the director

• Béla Tarr — Hu Bo trained under Tarr at the FIRST Film Festival training camp and openly regarded him as his mentor; Tarr in turn championed the film after Hu's death.
