The forever-debate is whether any of the many sequels and spin-offs has ever come close — every new Predator movie reignites the 'nothing touches the original' thread (with Prey the recent challenger).

Its footprint

'Get to the choppa!' and 'If it bleeds, we can kill it' are permanent quote-bank entries, and the Schwarzenegger–Carl Weathers bicep-clasp handshake became one of the internet's most-used memes; the Predator itself is a franchise-spawning monster-design icon.
