Your Friends & Neighbors poster

Your Friends & Neighbors is a darkly comic US prestige drama in which Jon Hamm plays a disgraced hedge fund manager who turns to burglarizing his wealthy Westmont Village neighbors — and stumbles onto a cache of dangerous secrets. The tone sits at the uneasy intersection of suburban satire and thriller: glossy surfaces concealing rotting lives, one-liners that cut rather than comfort, and a protagonist whose moral fall is both absurd and quietly devastating. Created by the Banshee team of Greg Yaitanes and Jonathan Tropper, the show carries that lineage's edge while leaning into Hamm's charismatic gravity. It appeals to viewers who enjoy morally compromised protagonists, sharp ensemble casts, and the particular cruelty of affluent social milieus turned inside out.

From the reviewers

The characters wear irony like armor, laugh through despair, and live in glossy homes that hide rotting lives. Every scene scratches at something uncomfortable: the truth that beneath polite smiles and well-trimmed hedges, there's loneliness, fear, and quiet collapse.
Even the humor here doesn't offer relief - it's more like a nervous laugh at your own reflection. It's a comedy that leaves you unsettled - and strangely seen.
Jon Hamm delivers one of his best performances to date - nuanced, charismatic and deeply human. The entire cast is excellent, but Hamm anchors the show with quiet power and emotional depth.
Beautifully shot and perfectly paced, this is a must-watch for fans of slow-burn drama.
Hoon Lee as his best friend and business manager is great side kick and he always steals show with his sharp wit.
