Reacher poster

Reacher is a crowd-pleasing US action-crime series built entirely around a single magnetic protagonist: Jack Reacher, a hulking, highly intelligent ex-military drifter who stumbles into injustice and dismantles it with methodical brutality. The show is unapologetically fun — reviewers describe it as 'relaxing,' 'entertaining,' and 'good old-fashioned entertainment' — while delivering tense fight sequences and a satisfying mystery arc. Its greatest achievement is casting Alan Ritchson, whose physical and psychological fit for the role is treated by book fans as a long-overdue corrective to the Tom Cruise films. Faithful to Lee Child's source novel 'Killing Floor,' it rewards genre loyalists without requiring prior knowledge of the books.

From the reviewers

People read a book. People like that book. You then just film the book directly. No messing about, no rewrites, no major edits, no nonsense, no casting someone 5'9" to play a 6'5" monster.
Alan Ritchson is a great choice for the role of Jack Reacher, not only does he look like him, but he conveyed his character well on screen.
The fight scenes are excellent, tense and brutal. Alan Ritchson is convincing in the role of Jack Reacher, but the other actors also portrayed their characters well.
The soundtrack is good, it blended in perfectly with the atmosphere of the story.
Willa Fitzgerald (Roscoe) and Ritchson have a terrific on-screen chemistry that's fun to see develop over the course of the season.
