Mr Robot poster

Mr. Robot is a US prestige thriller that uses a hacker-activist premise as a vehicle for a deeply interior psychological portrait of a dissociative, socially alienated protagonist. Its signature is the sustained unreliable-narrator conceit — Elliot Alderson's fractured identity is both the show's mystery and its emotional core. Visually inventive with distinctive camera work, a propulsive electronic score, and directing that rewards close attention, the show rewards patient viewers who follow Elliot's internal journey over four seasons. Its final episodes are treated by devoted reviewers as among the most emotionally and intellectually satisfying television ever made. Best suited to viewers who prize psychological complexity, formal ambition, and a willingness to live inside a deeply unwell protagonist's perspective.

From the reviewers

Hats off for Mr. Rami Malek for converting acting into feelings to this level.
it was like taking place of the action, feeling the anger, the shame, the frustration of Eliot
it's unique camera angles, I love hoe they play with focus, and zooms. There are a lot of very great little montages, or parts where there is a lot of quick editing
in the 4th season it slows the hell down, and there is an abundance of really long takes, that are really impressive
The title of every episode is very closely tied to the story and the fact that they are hackers in the show itself. There are actual websites from the world of the show, reddit pages from 2015
