The tone is raw and immersive without being experimental; its pleasures are genre pleasures executed at a high level by a cast at the top of their game.

Instead of a generic crime drama, "MobLand" offers a deeply layered and genuinely captivating exploration of loyalty, power, and survival within a brutal world.
The accents from Brosnan and Mirren are grating and wildly inconsistent. I'd be happy to see far less of them in Season 2.
